25 Most Hotly Anticipated New TV Shows Of 2020

HBO continue putting together a pot-busting hand for 2020 with this comedy thriller from Vicky Jones and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

Run stars Merritt Wever as Ruby, a young mother not exactly living her best life, who gets the gift of an opportunity to literally step out of her boring existence, away from her family and into a brand new life on the road with the lost love of her life. Apparently Domhnall Gleeson co-stars as a successful life guru, which isn’t really something to brag about, and Tamara Podemski as a small town police detective.

Waller-Bridge, still riding high from the huge critical and commercial success of Fleabag and Killing Eve, is only executive producing with a recurring role in Run - it’s her creative partner Jones’ show. That said, Jones is no slouch, with a ton of writing and directing experience of her own.

The odds are good that Run will mark yet another award-friendly entry on HBO’s slate, and some of the best television of next year.
