28 Doctor Who Actors Who Died In 2022

20. Stephen Churchett

Stephen Churchett played Bill, one of two unlucky workers in the Sixth Doctor serial Attack Of The Cybermen. He, along with another man, David, are captured and upgraded to become shiny new club members of the Cybermen's latest plan.

Churchett was born in Bromley in 1947. He would probably be best known as Marcus Christie, the recurring character in Eastenders, who he played from 1990 - 2015, appearing in 73 episodes overall. Christie was quite the dodgy lawyer, once conning Sam Mitchell out of ownership of the Queen Vic, making a lifelong enemy of Phil Mitchell in the process.

Braver man than I am.

He was also known for Secrets and Lie, Marple, and A Bridge Too Far. He passed away on January 11th. He was 74 years old.
