Donald Gee appeared as two separate characters in Doctor Who. First, he appeared in the Second Doctor serial The Space Pirates, as Ian Warne. He would then return as Eckersley in the Third Doctor serial The Monster Of Peladon.

Gee was born in Stockport in 1937. He would have a recurring role between 1975 - 1976 as removal man Bert, alongside Bob Hoskins as his friend Alf, who had reading and writing difficulties, in the adult education program On The Move. He would later appear in Coronation Street in two separate roles. First, he appeared as Inspector Tom Meeker, the health inspector who caused a headache for Stan Odgen in 1974. Then, he appeared as the artist Roger, who would become something of a love interest for both Mavis Wilton and Rita Sullivan.

He would appear in several episodes of Born And Bred as Mr. Horace Boynton, the local shopkeeper.

He would also share an acting credit with future Doctor Who star Sylvester McCoy. Gee performed the role of Radagast the Brown in one of the BBC radio adaptations of The Lord Of The Rings.

Gee died on January 14th. He was 84 years old.
