28 WTF Moments From The Flash's Season 2 Premiere

1. Jay Garrick Arrives!

Jay Garrick The Flash
The CW

Having been shown lurking in the shadows and snapping pictures earlier in the episode, Jay Garrick finally steps forward and introduces himself to Barry Allen as the episode comes to a close.

Who’s Jay Garrick, I hear some of you ask? Well he’s the golden age Flash taken straight from the comic books... not to mention the person whose helmet randomly appeared at the end of Season 1.

His role here is to warn Barry of an impending threat – that’d be the aforementioned Zoom – and to serve as a mentor sort of figure for the Scarlet Speedster. With former mentor Harrison Wells now out of the picture, not to mention father Henry off to pastures new, Barry’s essentially lost two of the biggest influences on his life.

Expect Jay to help Barry along throughout the season and to become a vital heroic cog of Season 2. Also, expect to be hearing a lot more about Garrick's story over the coming weeks.
