30. She-Ra: Princess of Power
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wR65P73X5GI Ah, He-Man's twin sister. In her television show theme, she recites a very similar verse to He-Man's in his show (more on that later) in which she says "for the honour of Grayskull" instead of "by the power of Grayskull". The sequence is very similar too - in fact it exactly mirrors He-Man's sequence - as she explains which of her friends share her secret (like He-Man does), explains that she defends the Crystal Castle (whereas He-Man defends Grayskull itself), transforms her horse (Swift Wind) in to a more powerful creature (like He-Man does with Cringer) and introduces Hordak as her enemy (as He-Man does with Skeletor). Of course, epic Filmation animation and typically cheesy 1980s music accompanies the sequence and it's all very colourful. This first came to light in 1985. 29. The Adventures Of Teddy Ruxpin
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6blEf9xgFM "Come dream with me tonight..." The epitome of childhood adventure and imagination, this theme really captured the hearts of the children of the 1980s with its emphasis on adventure as dreams, as Teddy Ruxpin and his friends "built a giant airship" and sailed across the skies, looking for adventure. Heartwarming and completely harmless, Teddy Ruxpin was one of those shows parents loved to see their kids watching - and the theme tune embodied that. Its original run was for a single year, from 1987 to 1988.
