Status: This series is in development from Universal with series creator Jim Starlin. Pitch: Vanth Dreadstar, the sole survivor of the entire Milky Way galaxy, and his crew, including cyborg sorcerer Syzygy Darklock, travel to end an ancient war between two evil empires. Odds of Success Onscreen: Fairly strong. This crazy 1980s space opera was Jim Starlin cutting loose and having fun. Starlin also gave the world Thanos, that guy who shows up at the end of both Avengers movies. Still, it will require a bit of care to avoid coming off as too cheesy on TV.
