32 WTF Moments From Marvel's Jessica Jones

13. Living With The Joneses

In a scene reminiscent of something you€™d see in American Horror Story, the tormented Jessica Jones is eerily back in the presence of her family as they€™re getting ready for a trip away. Now staying with Kilgrave in her former house, Jessica wakes up to see her mother, father and brother at the bottom of her bed and all seems well. A little too well. Before you know it, blood starts to pour from her younger brother€™s head as the scene takes a demented turn and is soon revealed to be a dream.

12. Rape

You can get all kinds of deep with the Jessica Jones show, citing it as being essentially a story of a rape victim trying to rebuild her life after the horrific act. The rape in question is Kilgrave€™s rape of Jones€™ mind, but we find out here that the rogue went to all kinds of terrible depths when it came to Jessica. After Kilgrave makes a quip about how they used to do a lot more than just hold hands, Jessica calls him out on how he raped her physically and mentally in every sense of the word. It€™s a hard-hitting moment and clearly a delicate subject that the show isn€™t afraid to tackle head on. The Netflix-exclusive Marvel shows have been extremely edgy so far, and this was certainly a major WTF moment as the show addressed one of the worst crimes out there.
