Community was known for having some seriously brilliant episodes, such as Conspiracy Theory and Interior Design and Remedial Chaos Theory. The latter was an episode that explored the idea of multiple timelines.

When the study group meet at Troy and Abed's new apartment for a housewarming party, Jeff decides to roll a dice to decide which member goes down to collect the pizza delivery. What follows are seven different timelines where each character splits from the group and goes to get the pizza depending on the die role, and including the canonical timeline where Abed catches the dice before it lands and makes Jeff go down. The canonical timeline is for sure the best, even though it didn't really have stiff competition when compared to the saddest timeline and the possible relationship set-up timeline.

The worst timeline of all was the darkest timeline, in which Troy goes downstairs to grab the pizza, where a fire starts in the apartment and Pierce gets shot by the gun in Annie's purse. The scene cuts away as Troy stares down the evil troll doll before we can truly see the damage that gets done. That's where the tag scene comes in...

In the scene, the study group sits around their table while Britta explains the catastrophe that is their life now: Jeff lost an arm, Pierce died while Annie got locked away in a mental ward because of her guilt, Shirley became a drunk and Troy ruined his vocal cords from eating the troll doll. Luckily Abed had a plan - the gang had to return to the prime timeline while wearing... fake goatees?
