5 Most Shocking Moments From The Fargo Finale

4. Key And Peele Get Taken Out

Two of the more surprisingly enjoyable characters on the show have been F.B.I. Agents Pepper and Budge, played by the comic pair known to many as Key and Peele. They first showed up when Malvo went on a rampage on Fargo, ND. They originally appeared to be inept after basically letting Malvo walk past them with an assault rifle, but they soon proved to be dedicated agents ("I have a commendation"). The two were called out to Bemidji after the death of Linda because the case appeared to be connected with the same case that landed them jobs in the records room for over a year. Molly had them take Lester home following a night of questioning after Linda's murder, but that is where their story ends. As the two sat in Lester's driveway, another Crown Victoria, the chosen car of most law enforcement officers, pulled in the driveway. They approached the car to see a man with his hands duct taped to the steering wheel. They turned around to see Malvo standing there before he fired off two shots that took out Pepper and Budge. Fargo has made a habit out of killing characters suddenly, but this was all the more shocking because it seemed like these two men would be instrumental in capturing or killing the hitman. It was a moment of quick and ruthless violence that punctuated an already tense scene.
