6 Crazy Problems Created By Crisis On Infinite Earths
1. Argus Should Be In Charge Of Freeland
With Black Lightning now set on Earth Prime, there is a real question of why ASA (with its sketchy history) is in charge of the Freeland metahuman situation rather than ARGUS, who at this point are more experienced with - and better equipped to handle - metas.
Let's just look at the situation following the first season of Black Lightning. The ASA is neck deep in scandal. They are the ones who kidnapped these kids and put them in pods in the first place. It was also one of their "rogue" agents who was distributing the greenlight to the community. In a world where they are the only agency equipped to handle metahumans, maybe it makes sense to turn the situation back over to them.
However, in a world in which the US government has other organizations with the equipment, facilities and experts to handle metahumans, it makes little sense to hand the situation back to the people who have earned such a terrible reputation in Freeland. Why give the pod kids back to their kidnappers?
Argus, with its Suicide Squad and numerous black sites isn't perfect, but compared to the ASA they are freaking angels. Please, somebody get Lyla to Feeland ASAP!
