6 Podcasts Being Adapted To TV (And 5 More That Should Be)

7. Will Be: Tanis (Universal Cable Productions)

Limetown Show
Terry Miles

A spinoff podcast from the extremely successful Black Tapes, Tanis follows the true crime investigative format popularised by podcasts like Serial. Unlike Serial, it focuses on an intriguing mystery that never admits to its own fictional nature, dedicated to the pretence as it reports on a strange entity called Tanis.

Reports seem to differ, and Nic Silver - voiced by the podcast's creator, Terry Miles - is endlessly intrigued by this strange being, and encounters everything from a cult naming itself after it as well as a group called The Grackles; scientists of mostly Haida origin investigating a strange area where the animals are either unusually violent, or unusually intelligent.

One of Tanis's biggest draws is how committed it is to muddling the line between fiction and reality, incorporating real-world elements in its ongoing investigation, while revealing how many people and powers are dedicated to preventing anyone from learning the truth about Tanis.

With big names such as Dark Horse, Sam Raimi and Lee Shipman onboard, along with podcast showrunner and narrator Terry Miles, viewers who love a good mystery, with suspense and horror liberally sprinkled in, have something to look forward to.
