6 Reasons Camp Cretaceous Is The Best Jurassic Park Sequel

5. Great Writing

Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous
Netflix

If we are going to be totally honest, the writing in this franchise has been steadily dropping since the first film. However, this animated series reminds us that the best writing doesn't come from crazy plots or wacky situations but from well developed characters interacting with each other.

Jurassic World is itself a prime example of a film that while superbly directed had more than its share of problems in writing. There are crazy and convoluted notions, plotlines that don't really connect and far too often the characters take a backseat to the insanity.

It's not alone in those issues, Jurassic Park III is known for it's phenomenal breaks in logic and even The Lost World had it's share of problems in spite of being a Spielberg film. And the less we say about Fallen Kingdom's lunatic story the better.

This show has the benefit of existing in a space where many of the larger plot points have been established. This gives the writers the opportunity to do what all great writers do and put the focus on character.

We as the audience get to know these characters and understand their motivations and the story is allowed to build from there. As a result this show has some of the strongest writing in the franchise.

Early Ray Mixon hasn't written a bio just yet, but if they had... it would appear here.
