Following a series of unexplained phenomena an extraordinary FBI agent teams up with a formerly-institutionalised scientist and his dysfunctional son to investigate strange cases that are seemingly part of a larger pattern. Why She'll Love It Like J.J Abrams' previous masterpiece LOST, Fringe revels in it's creativity and cleverness when dealing with emotionally complex themes such as power, forgiveness and sacrifice. Similar to the island of LOST, Fringe uses the main characters to showcase each theme in a case of the week format, all the while slowly revealing a much bigger storyline. The scene stealing John Noble (who plays eccentric scientist Walter Bishop) is engrossing from the start with his loveable-yet-deplorable character traits becoming instantly-addictive viewing. At it's core Fringe is a story about love. The love between a father and son, two strangers looking for the same thing, and about how far you are willing to go in order to protect those who matter. Couples Rating: 4/5 Action, incredibly clever storylines and some of the best twists in TV, Fringe is perfect viewing for you and that special someone. Just make sure you've eaten your dinner beforehand.
