7 TV Shows With Near-Perfect Endings

3. Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air

The Leftovers Finale
NBC

There are two things everyone who watched The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air remembers from the show. The first is the heart-breaking episode where Will meets and then is abandoned by his biological father, and the second is the lyrics to the catchy theme-song.

A third would be how to dance to Tom Jones - It's Not Unusual, but let's save that for weddings and office parties shall we.

After six seasons of watching the street-wise Will Smith get into all sorts of hijinks with the Banks family, it was finally time for the show to come to an end. Like most sitcoms, the plot revolved around everyone moving away to pursue their own adventures, but for Will he was left wondering if his time with his aunt and uncle had changed him for the better in any way.

One of the biggest central points of the whole show was Will's relationship with his surrogate father Phillip Banks. And after helping Will find a new apartment to stay in before going to college, the only thing left was to say goodbye. With the Banks family making plans to call one another every Sunday, Will is doubtful that he will get a call too since he was only ever felt like a guest in their home.

James Avery nails his performance as a man who loves his nephew as if he were his own; uttering the line "you are my son" and assuring Will that nothing was ever going to change it.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
