7 Upcoming New CW Shows To Be Excited About

Everybody loves a bit of Chuck Norris - so much so that his classic Walker, Texas Ranger series ran for eight seasons on CBS from 1993 until 2001. However, the titular character of that series will now be making a return to TV with a brand new face.

Earlier this year, it was announced that CBS Television studios was working on a reboot of the series (simply titled Walker) that was expected to either follow in the footsteps of the original by landing at CBS or instead air on its sister-network The CW. The following month it was revealed that it would land on the latter.

While there are mixed feelings due to the fact that we don't really need another reboot of a classic series - after all, Walker, Texas Ranger was a product of its time - there is a fair bit of intrigue surrounding this one, especially since Jared Padalecki will portray good old Cordell Walker himself and co-executive produce the series.

Padalecki is about to wrap up a 15-year run on The CW's Supernatural, so it's safe to say he's no stranger to hard-hitting, action-packed roles, and if we've learned anything from his time as Sam Winchester, it's that he's more than capable of pulling off larger-than-life, well-developed characters.
