8 Potential Story Ideas To Expand The Breaking Bad Universe
4. Way Past Breakfast
One of the prevalent characters in Walter White's life was his son Walter 'Flynn' Jr, played by R.J. Mitte. However, in Breaking Bad the focus on this character was shifted to focus on Heisenberg's nefarious acts, and the son never had the chance to be as respected as some of the other characters were in the show, due to him being fooled by his father in multiple scenarios.
Now that his father was outed by society, Flynn must make his own way in the world without parental guidance. Whether Skyler White upheld the custody of her daughter Holly, I'm confident that Flynn, and his sister would have grown closer knowing that their parents instigated in a money laundering scheme during the developmental stages in both of the siblings lives.
And how will Flynn react to providing for himself, and potentially his sister, comments on his father's doings, and the donation given by the Schwartz family, if they decided to do so with Walt's blackmail money, when the boy finishes high school?
This idea would be a shot in the dark for the Breaking Bad writers, since Walt Jr. was never taken seriously by the watching public. But depending on how well informed the spin-off would be discussing family trauma, expectations, and the importance of finding the right occupation in life, it might make fans reconsider Walter Jr. as not just the breakfast loving enthusiast.
