9 Game Of Thrones Characters Who Need Spin-Off Shows

1. Jon Snow

Game Of Thrones Tyrion
HBO

‘Snow’ is one series seemingly in the pipeline, and already appears to be in development for a 2024 release. Jon Snow was really the central character for the whole of Game of Thrones, as we followed his complex story arc from teenage outsider in the Stark family, to his time in the Nights Watch, through to his place as King in the North, and finally as the orchestrator of Daenerys Targaryen’s downfall. However, his final pay-off was largely disappointing for fans of the show.

After his reveal as a Targaryen and the true heir to the Iron Throne, it would have been expected that, having killed Daenerys, Jon would have fulfilled his destiny by becoming King of the Seven Kingdoms. However, it was not to be, and after being incarcerated for the murder, he was banished back to the Wall to live out his days. Still, always the free spirit and having liberated and created a strong alliance with the Wildlings in the north, we saw in the final scene of the series Jon riding out beyond the Wall with Tormund Giantsbane by his side.

Leading dozens of Wildlings, and seemingly at peace with the situation as his true calling, a series picking up the story here has many exciting possibilities. The White Walkers appear to be finished, of course, but anything is possible in Game of Thrones. And there are undoubtedly many more adventures of magic and intrigue north of the Wall that can be explored.
