9 Great TV Characters Underused In Their Show's Final Season
6. Nelson "Big Head" Bighetti - Silicon Valley
Despite receiving third billing, Josh Brenner's Silicon Valley character, Nelson "Big Head" Bighetti, always felt more like a recurring guest star than a series regular. He frequently missed episodes, but always appeared enough to keep failing up and make a huge mark on the show.
However, in the last two seasons, Big Head has almost nothing to do. He appears only in three episodes of Season 5, completely isolated from the main story. He spends most of Season 6 crashing on Jin-Yang's couch playing a game of Simon.
That game hilariously brings Big Head into the main story in the penultimate episode, Russfest, when he's able to recreate the lost SSH key with skills he developed from playing Simon, but ultimately, this is his main contribution to the season's story.
The series finale reveals that Big Head has failed up enough to become the president of Stamford, er, Stanford, but he still has very little to do in the episode overall. A little Big Head goes a long way, but the final seasons of Silicon Valley gave us far too little Big Head.
