9 Problems Nobody Wants To Admit About The Arrowverse
3. It'll Never Coalesce With The DCEU
Although Marvel opted to keep all their TV series interlinked within the confines of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, DC chose a different course of action.
Despite the fact that maybe, just maybe, the DCEU could've probably done with more exploration, what with WB jumping straight to Justice League within the space of three films, each and every DC TV show has shirked any such links to their big-screen counterparts. Instead, the Arrowverse was conceptualised, and while fans have enjoyed all the crossovers, references and Easter Eggs since, it's clear that some are after the kind of validation only a big-screen cinematic universe can provide.
It's just never going to happen though, in spite of the fact it would provide some much needed depth to DC's biggest onscreen properties. That, and there's also the fact that it would be daft for WB to introduce a character to the big-screen with the massive caveat that audiences watch four years of TV beforehand, because it's just not viable.
It's impractical, improbable, and while there are both positives and negatives to glean from integrating the Arrowverse to the big-screen, it's probably for the best that it be left alone.
