9 Reasons Sheldon Cooper Is The Worst Character On TV

3. He's Inconsistent

Sheldon Cooper

Sheldon's not a great guy, but the writing is inconsistent for his character. It was a welcome relief when he slowly began to open up and show some emotions, but Sheldon was simply unable to stay in his new adapted form.

There are times when the story really suggests he's changing, and there are moments that make you think he's really learned, and then BOOM, it all comes crashing down again.

He spent time away from the group between Season 7 and 8, learning to deal with change and growing as a character, but during the eighth season premiere, he flees again after seeing Penny's new haircut. That demonstrates how little he has really grown over time, and it doesn't sit right with his newfound development.
