9 Reasons Sheldon Cooper Is The Worst Character On TV

2. The Painful Awkwardness

Sheldon Cooper
CBS

Sheldon is an awkward guy, and that has provided some fun scenes in the past, but it gets to a point where enough is simply enough. It all comes back around to his character traits, but Sheldon's awkward scenes are becoming more obvious, less entertaining, and more... awkward.

Now that he can open up slightly about emotions, you'd think he'd be more relatable and easier to handle when it comes to big issues, but no. His serious talks with Amy - or any member of the group - can be painful to watch at times.

I'm certainly not saying everyone in the show must become a social butterfly with the skills to execute perfect line after perfect line, but his scenes revolving around deeper topics are usually cringeworthy to watch and finished off with a sly, Sheldon-esque joke to kill off whatever emotion the scene held.
