9. A Happy Ending For FitzSimmons

Well, it's about damn time.

Fitz and Simmons (a.k.a. FitzSimmons) have been put through the wringer on countless occasions over the years, but the finale finally gives them the ending they deserve. The finale reveals that the genius duo actually had a baby daughter, Alya, during the years they spent living together before returning to rescue their teammates at the end of season six.

Fitz has actually been waiting for Jemma in the original timeline (for him, it was just seconds), while Piper and Flint were tasked with protecting Alya. However, in the time jump which takes place in the finale's closing minutes, FitzSimmons have finally retired and are living happily with their baby girl.

There aren't really any noteworthy comic book characters with the name Alya, so Marvel Television clearly didn't decide to tease the possibility of her becoming a superhero somewhere down the line. That's a shame, but not a great surprise considering how unlikely it is Marvel Studios will choose to revisit this world in the shows - which, unlike this, are canon - on the way to Disney+.
