American Dad: 10 Disturbing Scenes That Somehow Made It Past The Censors

8. Starving Smiths €“ The Vacation Goo

Eating Have you ever been asked that hypothetical question you never want to answer? You know if you're dying of starvation could you eat someone else to stay alive? You answer no right? It's just unthinkable! Well not for American Dad. The show has a horrible cannibalism scene that kills any appetite. Basically the family become lost on an island after their vacation on a cruise ship takes a turn for the worse. It's not so bad for Steve because a girl from the boat who likes him has found herself stuck in the grave situation with the rest of the family. After being lost a while, Stan finds some people on the Island but they turn out to be hunters after human blood. Yes as usual, things are starting to get a little crazy. The group eventually avoid the hunters by hiding in a cave but unfortunately for Steve's new friend Becky the cave crumbles and she is crushed to death. The Smith's are now stuck in the cave with no means of escape, and as starvation sets in they debate whether they should eat Becky. Stan's against the idea but when he pulls out her ID to try and make a point why they shouldn't eat the girl he realises she's an organ donor and the argument is settled. They dine on dead Becky over a fire and Stan can be seen picking his teeth after his dinner. Eating Becky was wrong on so many levels, and pretty inhumane, despite the fact she was already dead. Especially when the hunters break through the cave and we discover that it was a big game for an amusement park and the family were never in any danger of being shot. This makes the cannibalism scene even more unnecessary €“ I'm not sure what the point of it was but if it was to put me off my next meal it certainly worked.
