1. Jessica Lange's Return Is Worth The Wait

While discussing all of the highlights of Return to Murder House, we can’t not talk about Jessica Lange’s spectacular return to the show. The Emmy-winning actress has been sorely missed, and although AHS has managed to survive in her absence, it's quite simply not the same without the icon.

Lange's performance in Return To Murder House is mesmerising, so much so that you cannot take your eyes off her. The ease at which she conveys Constance’s heartbreak is extraordinary, and her deliverance of the lengthy monologue during the episode’s middle act is Emmy-worthy in itself. Of course, an appearance from the mighty Lange wouldn’t have been complete without a few more quotable lines and catchphrases, and her character gives us several including “this is my f**king house”.

Both Paulson and Lady Gaga have played protagonists in the AHS seasons that Lange did not feature in, and while both are phenomenal actresses in their own right who turned in great performances, Return To Murder House is further proof that literally nobody can replace Lange. She is American Horror Story.
