As great as American Horror Story is, it often suffers from poor writing, poor storylining and - more often than not these days - poor conclusions. Apocalypse is the season that we'd been waiting for, because it not only confirmed that the events of every season of AHS take place within the same shared universe, but it also gave us the opportunity to once again see some of our favourite characters from previous seasons of the show.

When it comes to final episodes, it's hard to predict with American Horror Story whether we'll love it or hate it. Previous seasons like Asylum and Freak Show have ended beautifully, while others like Roanoke and, even the almighty Coven, have been somewhat disappointing. Thankfully, Apocalypse's final episode falls into the former category, delivering in almost everyday possible.

Between the escalation, the twists and turns, and the return of more of our faves, Apocalypse Then proves to be one of the strongest American Horror Story outings of all time, and while it doesn't offer us the full closure we all needed, it does offer it to the characters involved in the story, and that's good enough.

And now on to the negatives...
