American Horror Story: Every Villain Ranked Worst To Best

Detective John Lowe spent the majority of AHS's fifth season hunting down the infamous Ten Commandments Killer, an investigation which saw him drawn to the Hotel Cortez and its numerous ghostly inhabitants.

Now, the twist that Lowe was the very killer he was hunting was obvious to anyone paying attention, but that's not his problem. Rather, the issue with Lowe is Wes Bentley, whose brooding performance fell painfully flat by the season's end.

As the Killer, Lowe was vicious and sadistic, but we didn't get to see enough of his evil side for him to make a big enough mark on the narrative.
