7. The Maid's Death

Moira played with fire and it ended up biting her in the... eye. Moira had sex with Hugo, Constance's husband, when she was feeling lonely. Hugo wanted to develop a secret relationship with her but when Moira confessed that their previous encounter was a mistake, his ego couldn't handle the rejection. In an attempt to get what he wants from her, he forces himself on her and as karma would have it, Constance enters the room. Mistaking the rape for a seduction, she shoots Moira in the right eye and her husband in the heart and then proceeds to bury them both in the garden. The scene wouldn't have been as shocking if Moira hadn't have rejected Hugo's advances, but being murdered for defending yourself from a rapist is a horrific thought. Luckily, Murphy makes you watch it.
