Arrow: 10 Characters Who Should Join Season 5

8. Lady Blackhawk

Arrow Nightwing
DC Comics

A heroic mantle that has been taken on by several women over the years, Lady Blackhawk is someone often seen as a classic hero of a forgotten time, but she’s also someone who has been reinvented over the years.

The original Lady Blackhawk was Zinda Blake and debuted back in 1959, and then came the Natalie Reed version of the character who arrived in 1988. Either could work in Arrow, although Zinda Blake is the more popular of the duo amongst longtime DC fans.

Much like many in Arrow, any and all incarnations of Lady Blackhawk see her as someone who is without any form of superpowers. Instead, this is a heroine who is an ace pilot with excellent combat skills and who is deadly with any sort of firearms.

The comic book Lady Blackhawk has at times been a member of the Birds of Prey team, interestingly working alongside Huntress on a regular basis. With Arrow possibly bringing back Huntress in its next season, having Lady Blackhawk turn up as a sort of mentor for her could work well. Similarly, Lady Blackhawk would be a fantastic fit as a new addition who has a working relationship with the SCPD.
