Arrow: 10 Things Season 4 Has Got Horribly Wrong (So Far)
2. Olicity
As is the case with so many potential TV romances, the will they/wont they dynamic is often more exciting than the actual result. Such was the case with Oliver and Felicity, where the promise of their flirtation and their struggle to get together has already proven to be more exciting than their realized relationship. Putting them together has afforded the characters some important growth, the issue is that the growth for both characters have taken them to places that arent what fans wanted. For Felicity, shes gone from quirky sidekick to nagging girlfriend. Take the crossover episode for example, where she irrationally loses in on Oliver while hes in the midst of grappling with the fact that hes a father. If characters like Lori Grimes or Skyler White have taught Arrow anything, its that wives who get in the way of the heros goals will not be tolerated by fans. Then theres Oliver, whose domestication ought to have given him something to fight for, but is instead holding him back. This isnt a call for Olicity to break up, but their dynamic has to shift in order to keep them from causing silly drama as opposed to focusing on the actual fight at hand.
