Arrow Season 4: 20 Most Shocking Moments (So Far)

17. Return Of The Vigilante

Sure, it may not make for a great hero, but seeing Oliver Queen brutally beating the tar out of people makes for some awesome TV. We hadn€™t seen that side of the Emerald Archer for a little whole now, but it made an appearance during Dark Waters. During his initial venture into becoming Star(ling) City€™s protector, the man initially known as The Hood used uncompromising methods, often killing those who had failed his city. As Oliver has grown as a hero, he€™s also taken a back step when it comes to the whole killing thing. But when Felicity, Thea and Diggle are kidnapped by Damien Darhk, the gloves well and truly come off as the Master Bowman mercilessly destroys any and all thugs and Ghosts that he comes across in his attempt to get information on where his kidnapped Team Arrow cohorts are. Given how Season 4 of Arrow was supposedly going to be lighter in tone and more akin to The Flash in its feel, it was a shocker to see Oliver Queen return to his old ways.
