Arrow Season 5: 4 Characters That Absolutely Cannot Die (And 5 That Can)

1. Thea Queen

Thea Queen
The CW

When Thea was apparently killed by Ra's al Ghul in Season 3, it didn't seem like the worst option in the world. The show had struggled with really nailing down her place on a packed team, and her death might've worked then. Fast forward a few months, and Thea's arc was really struggling. Stuck in the whole post-Lazarus Pit bloodlust cycle, the character was wearing thin.

Since that arc ended however, Thea has soared as a character. She's become a valuable member of the team, had a couple of other strong angles, and took part in one truly excellent fight scene - all while being the quip-happy sidekick Green Arrow needs. Whether it's a surprising pop culture reference or a bit of snark, Thea is the go-to character for it, and has actually become one of the most enjoyable to watch on the show.

The show has already dealt with Ollie losing his family members, and after Laurel's death there's not much that can be gained from killing Thea off, but there's a lot to potentially lose.
