Arrow Season 5: 4 Characters That Absolutely Cannot Die (And 5 That Can)

4. Roy Harper

Roy Harper hasn't been a regular character on Arrow since Season 3, when he sacrificed himself to protect Oliver. Since then, he briefly appeared in Season 4, and is coming back in Season 5 for an unspecified amount of time, though it may be a multi-episode run.

There are a couple of issues with that though. While it's always fun to have Roy around, it's not much more than that. Towards the end of his time on the show as a regular, he was really given very little to do except practice some awesome parkour. It looked great, but he was hardly a character outside of that.

Secondly, as a wanted man, there's a limited amount they can do with him on the show. Those two combined mean that he might be able to come back every season for a guest appearance, but it's not going to add too much to the story, and we've already had his goodbyes to the team. It might be stronger work for his character, and the show, if they were to give him a final sendoff, rather than constantly leaving with the door open.
