Arrow Season 7: 4 Ups & 1 Down From ‘Spartan’
3. Emiko Gets Justice For Her Mother
Oliver's attempts to appeal to Emiko's humanity provided us with some interesting material this week. The long-lost Queen sibling didn't show up until around three-quarters through the episode and when she did, Oliver finally told her that Dante was the one responsible for killing her mother.
Though she feigned nonchalance about the whole thing, it was clear that she took note of the revelation as she backed off temporarily and set her sights on her mentor.
According to Dante, he killed Ms. Adachi because she was the last remaining tie to who Emiko was - a statement that was enough to push her over the edge as she stabbed him with an arrow then and there, killing the man who had changed her life.
We know that Emiko is likely beyond any sort of immediate redemption at this point, given that she's the leader of the Ninth Circle and apparently authorised the destruction of the Queen's Gambit, but this was still an intriguing development. The dynamic between her and Dante was an interesting one as, despite the fact that she was in charge, she always sought guidance from him.
Without him around, will she finally mellow or is she set to get even more brutal?
