Arrowverse: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best

17. Black Lightning Season 2

The Flash Season 1
The CW

Black Lightning is arguably the most consistent superhero show on television because it remains committed to telling realistic and personal stories, mixing in some genuinely great comic book material while it's at it.

Its second season carried on the mission of its predecessor to do all of that and it benefited from the new format that split the season into acts driven by specific themes. This allowed it to delve deep into the issues it was exploring and it once again started conversations about racism while also exploring the importance of mental health care.

However, it couldn't always juggle its larger cast of characters and it didn't all come together as seamlessly as it did the first time. Hardly a sophomore slump, but a slip nonetheless.
