7. Supergirl Season 1
Kara's journey into the Arrowverse began on CBS when the Girl of Steel rose to prominence in National City on an earth that hadn't even heard of heroes like The Flash and Green Arrow. That earth had heard of Superman, though, as his presence loomed large over the first season and it was up to her to step out of his shadow.
That mission was quickly accomplished in a season that felt much bigger than anything else on network television. A triumph of a debut, Supergirl felt like it was to Kara what the classic Christopher Reeve Superman movie was for her cousin: A nostalgic, ambitiously impressive and game-changing spectacle.
There were issues, yes, but the truth is that Supergirl never felt more spectacular, triumphant and super than it was here.
