Bob's Burgers: Every Halloween Episode Ranked Worst To Best

5. Tina And The Real Ghost (Season 5, Episode 2)

Bob's Burgers Nightmare On Ocean Avenue Street
FOX

This episode kicks off with a routine visit by Hugs Not Bugs, which is already pretty funny in its own right. Not only is the company one of the many pest control vans featured in the opening sight gags of previous episodes, a later one-liner implies that all of these sight gags have in fact been canon.

This particular company is terrible, abandoning the job after allegedly sensing a ghost in the basement. We thankfully don't follow too much of the pursuant B-story in which a team of paranormal investigators set up shop in one of Bob's booths. Instead, the episode focuses on Tina's budding romantic relationship with the ghost, which comes to a head when Tammy butts in to form a messy love triangle.

There are a few Bob's Burgers Halloween episodes that could be set just as effectively at any time of year, and "Tina and the Real Ghost" is one of them. A few late references to trick-or-treating could easily be cut out with no effect on the plot, but this episode shines on its own without needing to lean too hard into the season.

While Tina lovers will enjoy one of her better-crafted boy-crazy exploits to date, Tina haters will enjoy watching her get dumped by a shoebox. It's got something for everyone.
