Bob's Burgers: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best (So Far)
9. Season 1
Once you've seen the entirety of Bob's Burgers, you realise just how distinctively different the first series was. It's obvious the show's producers were finding their voice because the general tone of the show felt much darker and adult than anything that came after it.
However, that doesn't make season one bad, it just makes it unique. Bob and Linda as characters almost feel like their personalities are switched. Whilst Linda is the (mostly) sensible one trying to keep business going, Bob is the unhinged one - taking a cow into the home, making a scene at the lobster fest, calling his family terrible right in front of them etc.
However, some moments from the first series stand out for only the wrong reasons - for example, Louise describing Tina as "the worst kind of autistic" is something that would never fly in today's episodes.
But still, we must also remember the show had undergone a couple of drastic changes before it aired, hence why the comedy is a bit uneven - the series was originally going to centre around a family who were actually cannibals and there was no Tina, but instead an eldest son named Dan. We sure are glad the writers never went down that narrative.
