BoJack Horseman Season 4: 12 Biggest WTF Moments
3. Todd Embraces Asexuality
At the beginning of the season Todd rejects labels, which is true to his adventurous nature. When Emily characterizes him as "asexual" he needs some time to cope with the word. Finally, when he's on BoJack's couch, Todd says the word out loud and he actually feels good about it. It's a step towards self-acceptance, with which Todd had some problems in the past.
Accepting the label gives Todd so much strength that he decides to leave BoJack behind and embark on a life of his own. The change associated with the word is only for the better, as he now not only knows why he doesn't have the needs that are considered regular - BoJack even envies him, because asexuality would save him from catching STDs - but actually knows what he's looking for in a partner.
