Breaking Bad: 10 Best Characters Who Appeared After Season One

6. Francesca Libby

The most interesting part of Better Call Saul’s final season will be the extent to which it fills in the timeline between its story and that of Breaking Bad. It’s not high on everyone’s priority list, but the transformation of Francesca Libby from bubbly legal assistant to cynical criminal facilitator is a loose end that needs tying.

We meet Francesca in Breaking Bad’s second season, where she’s a world-weary member of Saul’s office staff. Far from a jaded pencil pusher, though, she proves to be an active accomplice in her boss’ continued hairbrained schemes. She masquerades as a hospital worker to throw Hank off the scent, and maintains Saul’s criminal enterprise.

Her crowning moment comes at the tail of season four when Walter attempts to barge his way into the office. He breaks a door in his attempt to track down Saul; she charges him a $20,000 fee for the damages, which takes the genius scientist a long while to recognise as a simple shakedown.

Tina Parker does a great job of playing both sides of Francesca, pre-and post-Saul. Hopefully we’ll get to see the moment she, too, broke bad.
