Breaking Bad: 10 Worst Things Gus Fring Has Ever Done

2. Killing Arturo And Blackmailing Nacho

Seeing Gus doing his dirty deeds is a rarity, which is why the scenes where he commits some heinous acts always feel so sudden and carry such an impact.

Arturo Colon was one of Hector Salamanca's most trusted lieutenants and, during a collection run at the Los Pollos Hermanos factory, decides to demand six packages off Gus' men, rather than the five they usually pick up. It looks like he and Nacho have gotten away with their audacious move, however as they leave the factory, Gus emerges from the shadows, ties a plastic bag around Arturo's head, smashes his head against a car, and stands over him as he suffocates. Nacho is made to watch the entire act at gunpoint in what is a seriously powerful message from Fring.

It is one of the most gruesome and drawn-out deaths in Better Call Saul, and once again demonstrates just how ruthless Gus can be when prompted.

However, Gus' ruthlessness is always outmatched by his ability to see the business potential in a situation, and his blackmailing of Nacho after dispatching of his partner is almost as cold as the murder he had just committed.
