Breaking Bad: 10 Worst Things Gus Fring Has Ever Done

1. Killing Victor

The duel between Walt and Gus was one of the most dramatic dynamics in Breaking Bad, and the way in which Gus was usually able to weave his way out of the issues his head cook was a potent reminder of the power the kingpin had.

"Box Cutter", the opening episode of season four, is one of the first times however where things start to slip for Gus. After Walt and Jesse kill Gale, foiling his plans to replace the pair, Gus learns that his right-hand man Victor was seen at the scene of the crime.

In a 'two birds one stone' move, Gus ruthlessly slits Victor's throat in front of Mike and Walt with a box cutter, staring at the latter with a terrifying emotionless expression the whole time. Usually, the epitome of professionalism and keeping his own hands clean, seeing Gus brutally killing off his most loyal henchman in one of the show's bloodiest scenes is a shocking development, with his lack of expression adding to the horror.

Even Mike looks startled by Gus' act, potentially suggesting Walt had driven him to new lengths in preserving his status as the show's top dog.
