5. Walt Disappears, Cooks Peanut Brittle
In one of Breaking Bad's final episodes, Ozymandias, Walter White is seen stepping into a van to be whisked off to New Hampshire to lie low and assume a new identity. However, this plan soon unravels when he gets lonely in his cabin out in the sticks and ventures to a nearby bar, where he sees Elliott and Gretchen Schwartz on the TV denouncing Walt's involvement in Gray Matter. This sets in motion the turn of events that ultimately led to the show's final scenes, however, in one alternate version, Walt stayed in New Hampshire and lived out the rest of his life. He even had a new wife. Vince Gilligan explained:
"We talked about him having a new wife, a new job. We talked about him teaching at some sort of Learning Annex-type place."
The show's writers even dreamt up one scenario where Walt cooked up a batch of peanut brittle, and his intricate level of detail made it evident he missed cooking crystal meth. Needless to say, we're pleased this particular ending didn't come to pass, because the only fate Walt deserved was death, not peanut butter.
