Breaking Bad: 5 Alternate Scenes We're Glad We Didn't Get To See

4. Skyler Commits Suicide

Breaking Bad Skyler Suicide In the season five episode, Fifty-One, Skyler walks into the White's swimming pool in an apparent bid to commit suicide when the pressure of the knowledge of Walt's secret identity becomes unbearable. Walt dives in after her and pulls her out again, but in one alternate ending, Skyler is successful in killing herself. In this particular, unaired outcome, Skyler decides to "disappear" with Walt and the couple lay low in a cheap motel. However, Walter's unhinged wife then slashes her wrists in the bathtub, ending it all. Gilligan recalled:
"The other writers were like, 'that's a bridge too far', "And they were right."
We're pleased Skyler didn't kill herself. Despite being one of the show's most unlikable of characters, had she done so, we would have missed out on that brilliant scene in "Felina" where Walt confesses to her that he did everything not for her and the family, but for himself.
