Breaking Bad: 5 Alternate Scenes We're Glad We Didn't Get To See

1. Walt Takes On The DEA

Walt Gun Walter White was at loggerheads with his brother-in-law Hank Schrader and his colleague Agent Gomez for the latter half of season 5 after his Heisenberg alter-ego finally came out of the closet. The three were involved in some of the show's most jaw-dropping scenes, such as THAT shootout in the episode To'hajiilee as Hank tries desperately to finally bring Walt to justice. The two were set to become embroiled in even more intense scenes, however, with one alternate scenario seeing Walt take on the DEA. The flash-forwards in season 5 revealing the existence of the M-60 machine gun led to many fans speculating on who it would be used on, with some suggesting it was intended for one final stand against the DEA. In the end, it was used to kill Uncle Jack and his cronies, an outcome Gilligan admits was predictable.
"We thought, gee, is it too obvious he€™d use it on a bunch of bad guys? He wanted to be known as Jesse James. He wants the credit. So we had versions that we talked about for instance where the police come to get him. He uses it on the police. But we didn€™t like that. It just didn€™t seem right."
Seeing Walt turning the machine gun on his brother-in-law Hank and Gomie would have been horrible. Their death at the hands of the Nazi's was painful enough viewing on its own, so we're satisfied this didn't happen. Would you liked to have seen any of these alternative scenes?
