5. Walt Stops The Shootout
With Todd and his Nazi family stood side by side blitzing poor Hank and Gomie with a hail of bullets, things looked pretty bleak for our DEA couple when that screen faded to black. In the final moments, the camera showed Walt, cuffed in the back of the police car, screaming at the Aryan gang to hold fire, before all hell broke loose and even the car Walt was sitting in took a few hits. This caused Walt to throw himself into the foot-well of the car, wiggling like a worm to avoid being shot - or was he heading for the door? One of the only things that could stop the shootout is Walt escaping from the vehicle and using himself as a human shield to stop the shootout. The DEA, especially Hank, want Heisenberg alive so they can see him rot in prison, while the Aryan's need him alive because Walt promised to "cook" for them one last time and teach Todd his formula. For Walt to escape from the cop car, however, we have to assume incompetence on Hank's part in that he left the door open - which seems unlikely - but still marginally plausible.
