Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul: Every Character Ranked Worst To Best
23. Tuco Salamanca
Tuco Salamanca was the first villain Walt and Jesse were forced to face in Breaking Bad, his violent and unpredictable temper making him a formidable opponent and a frank foreshadowing of the horrors to come.
Played by a wonderfully intense Raymond Cruz, Tuco was thrown into the story as a reminder that Walt and Jesse are completely out of their depth, but also to introduce audiences to the deadly Salamanca crime family, who would only become more important as Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul kicked into high gear.
Unfortunately, Tuco's time on both shows was short-lived, but he made an indelible impression all the same, and he remains one of the most memorable and tragically underused characters in the franchise.
