Buffy The Vampire Slayer: 10 Best Characters Who Only Appear In One Episode
7. Holden Webster (Season 7, Episode 7)
‘Conversations with Dead People’ is a standout episode in Season 7. Whilst Dawn and Willow have a memorable night in the company of the First Evil, Buffy hangs out with Holden “Webs” Webster, an ex-student from Sunnydale High who’s recently become a vampire.
Having majored in psychology, Webs takes the opportunity to quiz Buffy about her life. The Slayer opens up to Webs in a way she never could with her friends, which leads to plenty of interesting dialogue. Commitment issues, loneliness, egotism, romance, and self-destructive behaviour are all part of the conversation. Webs – despite his intentions to kill Buffy – proves to be a wise and considerate listener, offering some constructive criticism alongside his tongue-in-cheek remarks.
He’s one of the most likeable vampires in the show, and it’s a shame he has to die at the end of the episode. Alongside Robin Wood and Caleb, he’s a great addition to Buffy’s final season.
