2. Billy "Ford" Fordham

Ford was one of Buffy's friends from L.A. and one of her early crushes from when she was in the fifth grade. The two of them had been quite close when they were young, and his surprise arrival in Sunnydale brings back some memories for Buffy. The two love to reminisce about their time together at their old school. Ford reveals he figured out that Buffy was a Slayer but never told her that he knew.

Little did Buffy know, Ford was part of a vampire-worshipping cult. He sold her out to Spike, with whom he had a deal: the slayer in exchange for immortality. He reasoned that he had developed a terminal brain tumour and wanted to become a vampire so that he wouldn't have to die.

Of course, that doesn't work out.

Buffy escapes the trap but Ford is still turned into a vampire. It upsets Buffy to stake him when he comes back from the grave, but she has a job to do. As he turns to dust, so do our dreams of this interesting character joining the gang.
