5. Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia Chase)
Cordelia Chase spent her time in Buffy as the narcissistic mean girl who all fans could tell was much more complex and nice under her cold and confrontational aesthetic. Charisma Carpenter was given the opportunity to fully explore the character when she left Buffy at the end of season three, travelling to LA and meeting up with Angel for his redemptive journey.
Though Cordelia still remains her most popular and successful role, Carpenter has had a pretty full career since Angel and Buffy came to an end.
With guest roles in Charmed, The Division, Sons of Anarchy, Scream Queens and Supernatural (alongside James Marsters), her biggest TV role since 2004 came in Veronica Mars, where she played Kendall Casablancas.
Whilst her film career has been nowhere as prominent as her run on TV, Carpenter has starred in romantic thriller Bound (2015) and had a supporting role in the first two Expendables movies (2010, 2012). Her career may have slowed in recent years, but with a strong niche in making television horror movies, it's likely she'll back for more in time.
