Buffy The Vampire Slayer Cast: Where Are They Now?

4. Anthony Stewart Head

Buffy Cast
Mutant Enemy Productions / BBC

The Role: Buffy's Watcher, the incredibly British Rupert Giles, who was a main character for the first five seasons, and recurred in the last two. He taught Buffy the ways of being a Slayer, was a father figure to her and the rest of the group, developed some decent magic skills, frequently predicted the end of the world, and was an utterly terrible librarian.

Where Is He Now? Anthony Head is one of those British actors who seems to crop up in all sorts of things (and it'd be remiss not to mention those Nescafe Gold adverts he made his name in pre-Buffy). He had a recurring role in Little Britain as the Prime Minister, appeared in an episode of Doctor Who, and has appeared in films such as The Inbetweeners Movie and The Iron Lady.

His biggest post-Buffy role has been in the BBC series Merlin, in which he played Prince Arthur's father, King Uther Pendragon. This year he has appeared in musical comedy series Galavant, and sitcom Yonderland, from the Horrible Histories team. He'll next be seen in Shamim Sarif's Despite the Falling Snow, which is set in Cold War Moscow and stars Rebecca Ferguson and Charles Dance. Surely a Game of Thrones appearance can't be too far away?
